The Home of Technology, Sustainability and Safety
The goal of Enel X Way is to bring electric mobility to the roads of our towns and cities, and to do that, one needs a place to develop, test and perfect all our innovative solutions. It’s for this very reason that Enel X Way decided to make the historic Vallelunga Circuit, the home of what was the Rome F1 Grand Prix, their e-Mobility Hub.
The Hub consists of a laboratory for developing new solutions directly in situ, a showroom where visitors can see and get first-hand experience of their products and electric solutions aimed at both the business and private markets, and a museum.
Thanks to a partnership between Enel X Way and the Automobile Club D'Italia (ACI), the circuit will be equipped with four fully electrified pits, and the existing infrastructure will be expanded to complete a true rebranding of the track and its facilities.
Vallelunga is also the home of the Enel X Way eMotorsports team. Just like Vallelunga and Enel X Way, e-Mobility and eMotorsport enjoy a symbiotic relationship: eMotorsport is the perfect “vehicle” for showcasing and testing Enel X Way’s broad range of charging technologies.

Laboratory
At the Vallelunga hub, Enel X Way doesn't just showcase the future of electric mobility, they create and test it directly in situ. Enel X Way develops technologies, products and solutions, designed not only for the world of eMotorsport, which they play an active role in as a Smart Charging Partner, but also for electric mobility in general. The goal is innovation, and at Vallelunga they’ve got the pedal to the metal.
Showroom
The Vallelunga e-Mobility Hub includes a showroom where visitors can discover the full range of products and solutions they’ve developed for businesses, private individuals and homes, including our public and private charging stations and eMotorsport solutions. The area also includes the Enel X Way Room, an exhibition space dedicated to the development of electric mobility that can also be used as a meeting room.
e-Motorsport
The Vallelunga circuit is the nerve center for Enel X Way's work in electric mobility and eMotorsport. They play an active role in the Formula E, MotoE and Extreme E championships. For them, these all-electric championships are a great way to increase awareness regarding the sustainability and safety of electric mobility, and to test new technologies that can subsequently be transferred to the roads.
Smart Racing Circuit
Enel X Way has transformed the historic Vallelunga Circuit, once the home of what was the Rome Grand Prix, into a track that’s in step with the times: it’s now fully electrified with four pits equipped with powerful smart chargers (up to 120 kW) that are capable of simultaneously charging up to seven vehicles. It’s a smarter, safer and more sustainable track that provides the perfect testbed for the next generation of electric vehicles. As many as 20 models are tested each year, and their impact on the power grid will also be studied and analyzed within their laboratory.
